Less is more – heres how to take care of problematic skin

Do you have an increasing number of cosmetics lined up on your bathroom shelf? Do you keep reading beauty tips with a growing number of steps, even though you just want clean, soft and smooth skin? Is your morning routine becoming an agony, since you're breaking into a sweat by the time you're done with everything? If you can relate to this and you are yet to see the results, you should definitely simplify your facial care habits and get rid of costly, yet not indispensable tools.

Here's how to get started:

First of all, don't worry if you don't experience any instant positive changes

Your skin needs to get used to the new situation, so give yourself some time to change!

Find the care which suits your skin

Our Skin type test can help you with that and also keep in mind that you don't necessarily need dozens of cosmetics to have healthy and smoothly functioning skin.

Go gentle on your skin!

If you feel your skin is worn out and reacts sensitively to everything it comes into contact with, you should only wash your face twice a day and start using a gentler facial wash, perhaps one which is even free of natural fragrances. Our range of Manna soaps has something to offer for all skin types: I recommend for greasy skin our Active charcoal olive oil soap, for combined or normal skin try our Coco shea butter soap and for dry skin, we have our White satin facial cleansing soap. In the case of sensitive, damaged of eczema-affected skin, you should first ty our Extra virgin olive oil soap.

Scrub it less frequently

Our range of Mannas contains no scrubs specifically designed for facial skin. I recomend the Coco salt soap for uniquely cleansing your facial skin, which provides an exceptionally gentle massages for your skin with its tiny salt particles. If you're looking for a more pronounced scrubbing experience, our Alginite mask can do the trick. Mix it with water and add a few drops of your favourite beauty oil and then apply on your facial skin. Before completely drying out, after 5-7 minutes massage your facial skin by making circular motion with your wet fingertips – the specks will do the job. After washing off the mask, finish off with some shea butter or beauty oil. You don't have to do this several times a week, only when you feel your skin really needs it.

No need for a mask every day

Find the Manna mask which suits your skin type and use them to refresh your facial skin once or twice a week. If you scrub your skin too often or too harshly, you'll prevent its natural protective system from taking effect. The thin layer of sebum protects it against infections and injuries and helps preserve the health of your skin.

Less makeup – especially in the summer

Let your skin breathe, especially during the summer, yet what's even more important is to never forget using sunscreen. This isn't mentioned so frequently, but trust me, it's just as important in preserving the youthfulness of your skin as a supply of liquid and hydration.
