3+1 ingredients to nourish even the most sensitive baby skin
Let me recommend something much better than those mass-produced, chemical-based baby cosmetics you see in shops: let’s choose the power of Nature over chemical additives, synthetic scents and preservatives.
I wouldn’t recommend mass-produced and retailed baby cosmetics to adults either – although the skin of grown-ups is much thicker and more resilient than that of a baby. The skin of the little ones is highly sensitive and not only in nappy-covered areas. Baby skin is more prone to letting through chemicals and it’s more vulnerable to various external impacts – which means that you have to take extra care when choosing the substances that may come in contact with the skin of your baby.
The best of the best are products whose ingredients you know from A-Z.
What you will need:
1. Natural soap or baby bath cream made of vegetable oil(s)
To bathe the youngest and most sensitive babies, use scent-free soap(s) – e.g. Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Honey and Goat Milk. For somewhat older children I recommend our Fairy Flower soap.
2. Natural skin care product(s) with marigold oil or baby oil rich in vitamin E and nourishing oils
Marigold oil and shea butter make an ideal combo in Fairy Balm. Needless to say, it’s not just for babies.
If you are looking for a versatile skin care product to alleviate the dryness of your baby’s skin (or if you are looking for the perfect baby massage oil) I can warmly recommend our Nourishing Baby Oil made with Organic Coco Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and vitamin E. It’s lovely like the scent of babies.
3. Natural baby bottom cream with beeswax, sesame oil and shea butter
An essential part of the first few months. It’s important that a bottom cream nourishes and hydrates your baby’s skin while protecting it from moisture. A good baby bottom cream may help you to get several hours of extra sleep every day – and believe me, that’s something very precious during the first few months.
+1 Lavender essential oil or forehead balm
The other main tool to get long, calm nights is lavender. The tiny, fragrant Manna products made with purple flowers may also help You on sleepless nights. For a relaxed sleep, vaporise some essential oil in your bedroom and/or spread some Elf’s Dream Forehead Balm on the Little One’s forehead.
That’s all you will ever need for natural baby care.
