Scented candles without toxins
I've already written about how it's better to avoid using paraffin-based candles commonly available in stores in the bathroom, since their fumes can be harmful after prolong use due to their toluene and benzene content. If you're coping with asthma or have a cough, you have probably noticed that candles and lamps used in small spaces can be irritating to you due to their smoke.
Instead, you can make candles with beeswax (or soy wax) yourself, which you can mix with essential oils you like the most.
Here's how to make your beeswax candle in 5 simple steps. You can make candles with soy wax in the same manner by using an equal amount of soy wax.
Instead of glasses, you can use empty Manna butter jars - this way you can just screw the cap back on instead of covering them with tin foil. How to add fragrances:
If you decide on making your own scented candles, I recommend the following combination of fragrances which can be complemented by using matching Manna soaps for a comprehensive experience:
- COCO Lavender soap - Lavender essential oil
- COCO Cinnamon soap - Cinnamon essential oil
- COCO Tea tree oil soap - Tea tree essential oil
- COCO Geranium soap - Geranium essential oil
- Dolce Vita soap – 10 drops of Geranium + 10 drops of Sweet orange essential oil
