The many ways to use tea tree oil
Oozing freshness and a pleasant minty scent, Tea Tree Oil is one of the best natural cosmetics to treat oily-, problem- and spotty skin. I am confident to recommend it for the making of Manna products:
- Save lavender, tea trees yield the only essential oil suitable for direct use on your skin (undiluted),
- Made with tea tree oil, Coco Tea Tree Oil Soap is my choice to treat oily and spotty skin and itchy scalp that’s prone to dandruff
- You can put Manna Tea Tree Oil onto annoying, inflamed spots using your finger or a swab stick. Leave it on your skin for an hour or two then wash it off with water. It’s best to repeat the process a few hours later.
If you have oily, spotty skin or acne
- Combine Tea Tree Oil with aloe vera gel to make a face mask
If you see spots on your skin only occasionally, or if you have combination skin with oily areas
- The skin-nourishing, soothing and antiseptic effects of honey are widely known – and yoghurt will make your skin soft and clean too. Combined, they make a great mask you can use on any skin type, any time. However, if you are grappling with blackheads and spots too it’s best to add 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil to this mask made of 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of yoghurt. You can apply it to your cleavage or even to the spotty areas of your back.
If you have dry skin and spots
- If you are one of those who suffer from dry skin and spots at the same time, it’s worth trying not just the above recipe but another one too: mix a teaspoon of pure, extra virgin olive oil with 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil and massage the mixture into your facial skin for 2-3 minutes. Then grab a cotton pad, gently wipe your face all over and allow your skin to absorb the oils. If you want something different from olive oil you can also use Argan Oil which won’t block your skin’s breathing.
