The way to eternal youth – the secret uncovered

Regular (and preferably outdoor) exercise benefits our body more then you can imagine.

It’s not just that your body becomes stronger and more resilient – spending as little as 20 minutes with walking, exercising, running, dancing, training or practising yoga will benefit your skin health and promote mental wellbeing.

A neurologist has recently examined the mental health benefits of regular exercise – and come up with some interesting findings.

The stress-busting effect of exercise is well-known as well as the fact that one can feel the ‘happiness hormones’ kick in after just a few minutes of doing sport.

Also, you might have heard about how exercise can help you in work and studying. Scientific research has proven that fit people find it easier to focus their attention during work.

And there is more. The latest studies seem to underpin new and even more exciting theories:

  • It turns out that regular exercise stimulates the formation of new cells in an area of the brain that’s related to our ability to imagine and adapt to new, unusual situations. Which means that through regular exercise we can delay the onset of inflexibility and the stubborn attachment to old ways and habits – things that are characteristic to old age.

  • And not only that: physically fit people are also less likely to suffer from memory lapses and mental decline in old age.

I’m always astonished by the infinite complexity and harmony of the human body. It’s amazing what a little extra attention and effort can do to make us healthier and happier.
