Why we love oatmeal

I must admit that for a long time, I loathed oatmeal. It doesn't look too appealing and it's easily scattered across the kitchen floor, plus for some reason I tied it to the food eaten by the poorest, encountered in my school age stories which the heroes could barely manage to swallow.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

Now I know that oatmeal is one of the most amazing foodstuffs: it's filled with fibre and slow-release carbohydrates, protein and vital minerals such as calcium and magnesium. It doesn't require cooking and you don't even need water or milk to make since it can be made in a flash with plant milk or yogurt in incredibly diverse ways.

It's perfect for diets, detoxifying and spring replenishment

All you have to do is add two-and-a-half parts of liquid to one part of oatmeal, mix thoroughly and let it rest overnight. You can add cinnamon, ginger, aniseed and a sweetener of your choice, as well as seeds and dried fruits. Just before serving, you can sprinkle fresh fruit, crunchy nuts or whatever else you like on top - the variations are endless. You can keep it in clasp jars or any smaller, empty jelly jars which you can reuse for making oatmeal.

Oatmeal can fend off cravings for a long period of time and it's filled to the brim with fibre to assist your metabolism, as well as vitamins and trace elements to guarantee the beauty of your skin.

Oatmeal and oat flour can also be used to treat sensitive skin prone to dehydration, itching or inflammation, in multiple ways:
  • you can use it to prepare a bath (in a cheese-cloth sachet or a stocking steeped in your bathwater)
  • you can use oatmeal for facial masks or scrubs,
  • or just simply start using our Honey Goat Milk Soap made of virgin olive and coconut oils filled with oatmeal granules which gently massage your skin.
