A skin problem that can be a real crick in your back

Have you even had an annoying itch in the middle of your back where you can't reach it? Do you know what causes this unpleasant skin problem?
  • the water you're bathing or showering in is too hot
Hot water might feel great, but it can dry your skin. You might not notice this in spots that are easy to reach and which you treat with body lotion and oils to replenish the fat of the skin and prevent it from drying out.
  • you might be dressed too warm
No one likes feeling cold, but if you frequently have dry skin on your back, perhaps you should wear fewer layers or at least garments which are better ventilated.
  • you're wearing the wrong size bras
If your bra straps dig into your skin or the clasp chafes your back, this might be from wearing bras which are too tight. Try switching to a larger size (for example, switch from a size 32 to a size 34) or try using a cotton bra since your skin might be reacting to the synthetic material.
  • you're sitting with your back up against a chair for hours a day
This can make your skin too warm where it contacts the backrest of your chair.

So what's the solution?

Try avoiding the things listed above and ask someone to help apply a little Manna butter, whipped butter or oil on your dry, itching skin.
