How many things do you keep hoarding which you don't need any more?

If you were ever angry over the fact that although you have a lot of stuff, when you simply had to get a few more things you never had room for them, then today's post is for you.

If you didn't recently move to where you're living at the moment, perhaps you can't begin to imagine how many unnecessary things you're storing in your home. Clothes you never wore or got too tight or loose to wear, old cosmetics, spices and medicine past their expiry date – you almost surely have such things taking up space in your home.

First of all, you should sort things out in the bathroom: replace your old sponge and toothbrush which you've been using for ages. Look at all the cosmetics accumulating dust on the shelves, still in their packaging, which can't be safely used six or twelve months after their purchase.

Take special care if you use eyelash brushes: the bacteria nestled amongst the bristles of old brushes can cause eye infections and inflammations. Don't hold on to facial creams, body lotions, lip balms, eye shadows or primers for the same reason. Although they might look fine, they aren't safe to use long after you first opened them.

This is precisely why you should choose smaller packages of makeup or even mark them with the date you first used them so you would know when to replace them.
There are also a lot of things you should get rid of in your kitchen: the safety of old Teflon pans and heavily scratched plastic boxed used in the microwave oven is questionable.

Once you've sorted through all these things, you'll be surprise at much space you managed to free up. And I haven't even mentioned all the money you can save by adopting a chemical and palm oil-free way of life!
