How to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your home?

If your teeth are yellowish, yet you don't want to undergo a drastic dental whitening procedure and mainly trust in natural, gentle methods, the following tricks are just what you're looking for!

Everyone wants to have pearly white teeth as clean teeth are indicative of personal hygiene and greatly improve our appearance, light up the face and lend a far more demanding appearance. Clean, white teeth were always a symbol of cleanliness and health. When we say white teeth, don't think of the almost unnatural, blinding white smiles of American film stars, but rather natural, white teeth. It's important to keep in mind that everyone has a basic tone of teeth, which cannot be further whitened by natural means.

Put the powers of nature to good use so your teeth would shine brighter than ever before! The following tricks can gently and safely provide you with a set of gleaming white teeth:

Baking soda

Mix the juice of half a lemon with a tablespoon of baking soda and brush your teeth with the mixture. Repeat this once or twice a week until achieving the desired whiteness. Lemon juice has an antibacterial nature, which eliminates foul odors and baking soda removes impurities from the enamels and whitens the teeth. It's important that you mustn't use this technique too often and avoid using it continuously as it can result in thin enamels.

Strawberries

You've surely heard that strawberries are great at cleaning your teeth. There's a good reason for that. Its malic acid content helps dissolve surface impurities and its tiny granules have a scrubbing effect. Rub 3-4 crushed strawberries on your teeth and you'll see the results almost instantly. It's best to use unripe strawberries as they have an even higher malic acid content. I don't recommend brushing your teeth with toothpaste immediately after rinsing off the pulp as it takes some time for the saliva to restore the mouth's pH level so your enamels wouldn't be damaged.

Soda

The tiny granules of soda powder can erode a thin portion of the upper layer of the teeth, thus revealing their true, natural color. It's an ingredient used in many toothpastes and all you have to do is rub it on your teeth, wait twenty minutes and rinse it off.

Naturally, it's best to combine the above-listed methods with a mouthwash which ensures that you've done a lot for your perfectly clean, white teeth. Mouthwash helps maintain dental hygiene between brushing your teeth and reduces the amount of deposits. You can easily make your own mouthwash at home.

For mint-rosemary mouthwash, douse two teaspoons of rosemary and an equal amount of mint leaves with half a liter of boiling water, let the mixture set for fifteen minutes and wait for it to cool off. Subsequently, add a teaspoon of myrrh tincture and fill a bottle with the mixture, shaking before use. Mint refreshes and disinfects the mouth, while rosemary eliminates unpleasant odors.
It's important to be careful during these home whitening routines and never use acids on your teeth for a prolonged time as they can soften and erode your enamels.

I left my favorite for last, the Manna black toothpaste, which is a real treat filled with plain, natural, tooth-friendly ingredients. Charcoal powder lends a beautiful black color to the toothpaste, making it a real pleasure to wash your teeth. Give it a try - the results speak for themselves!
