Natural haircare in the winter

The dry air of indoor spaces and the freezing cold lasting for weeks and months on end take a toll on your hair. A lot of people cope with itchy scalps and dandruff due to frequently washing and drying their hair. Even people whose hair gets greasy fast can hardly wait for the warmer weather because wearing hats means a struggle to keep their hair in order.

What can you do to make your hair strong and give it a healthy shine from the tips to the roots?

If you try using hair balm and packs, you can see for yourself when purchasing them in stores that practically all of these products are full of synthetic ingredients and chemicals and even the natural products are practically all made with palm oil.

However, there is a natural solution to this problem.

On long winter nights, it's a good idea to use a natural hair pack. They consist of only one or two ingredients, yet still gently care for your scalp and hair strands.
First of all, choose a base oil: browse through our range of Manna beauty oils, and choose either the argan, jojoba or sweet almond oils. If none of these are at hand, you can use our Organic Virgin Coconut Oil - in fact, you could even use pure, good quality, cold pressed olive oil.

Depending on the thickness and length of your hair, mix one or two tablespoons of base oil with 2-3 drops of your favourite, undiluted Manna essential oil. Which one should you choose?
Here's how to do it:

Warm a small-sized towel on a heater to wrap around your hair. Then massage the oils into your dry hair and don't forget about your scalp. Then wrap the towel around your hair and later wash off the pack after 20-25 minutes. You can use natural hair soap for this, such as the Healthy Locks Soap. Finally, you can follow this up with a lukewarm, slightly lemony, apple cider vinegar or chamomile wash to make sure your hair is soft and radiant without weighing it down with oils after it's dry.
