What can you do about sweating?

Unfortunately, few of us can spend the whole day on the beach or at home to have a quick bath whenever they want. One of the most uncomfortable thing in the summer heat is the continuous perspiration and for many of us, what's even more annoying is constantly worrying about our appearance because the sweat quickly becomes apparent on our face and clothing.

According to physicians, we hardly notice that we evaporate 0.5 to 1 liters of water a day through our skin pores, yet on hot days, under stress or while exercising, we can sweat even several times more than that. However, that is something which is hard to hide and indeed, it is an everyday nuisance for many of us.

What can you do about it?

You need a good deo

Apart from wearing roomy, comfortable clothes, perhaps the most important factor is finding a good deodorant. If you decide to avoid anti-perspiration products containing metallic salts and are looking for natural solutions which gently care for your skin, our Manna cream deos are just what you need. You can try them in three fragrant and one scent-free version  in order to find the chemical-free cream deo which suits you the best. Which is going to be your favourite? The Geranium ylang ylang, Geranium rosemary, Lavender tea tree oil or the scent-free cream deodorant specifically developed for sensitive skin containing no essential oils?

Refresh yourself with fragrant sprays!

If you don't like the artificial fragrances of perfumes or if you feel they're too heady in the summer heat, then our flower waters are just the thing you're looking for! They're made of plant-based ingredients and water and contain no chemicals, alcohol, preservatives or colourings. The chamomile, rose, jasmine and sandalwood scented Manna flower waters are equipped with a spray nozzle, so you can take them with you wherever you go, refreshing yourself, your clothes and even your bedsheets.

Eat cooling foodstuffs!

In this previous post, I collected a few dishes which - according to Chinese medicine - can come to your aid and help you get through this period. If you don't like sweating, try avoiding hot, spicy dishes and drinks, coffee and alcoholic beverages.

Get enough sleep!

For many of us, the stuffy summer nights pose the greatest challenge, yet the exhaustion and stress caused by a lack of sleep leads to increased perspiration. Fortunately, there are a few tips which can help you feel rested when you wake up in the morning. I already wrote about the best 12 tips in this previous post of mine.
